ARC Flash Analysis , 8 MW Plant
The completion of the arc flash analysis for our 8 MW cement plant was a crucial milestone achieved by Newatt. This comprehensive analysis involved collecting data on electrical systems, equipment configurations, and fault currents. By employing recognized methodologies such as the IEEE 1584 standard, we determined incident energy levels at various locations within the plant. The results guided the implementation of protective measures, including personalized protective equipment requirements for workers. Updated documentation, one-line diagrams, and arc flash labels have been provided to align with safety standards, and training programs have been conducted to enhance awareness and adherence to safety protocols. Continuous monitoring, mitigation strategies, and future periodic reviews ensure ongoing compliance and commitment to electrical safety in our facility.
Switchyard Design for Beverage Industry
Newatt achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing the Switchyard Design for a Beverage Industry of 8MVA. The comprehensive design includes detailed drawings, schematics, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), equipment selection, and technical specifications. The Grid design and equipment sizing were meticulously tailored to meet the specific requirements of the 33kV Open Substation. Our team's expertise also extends to developing a thorough scheduling plan, ensuring efficient implementation and seamless integration of the switchyard system within the Beverage Industry facility.
Harmonic Analysis for Pharmaceutical
We have Completed Harmonic assessment for a Pharma Plant which includes the assessment of variable frequency drives (VFDs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and other nonlinear loads commonly found in pharmaceutical processes. Utilizing advanced software tools, harmonic spectra are generated, highlighting the amplitude and phase relationships of harmonics. The Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) is calculated to quantify the overall harmonic content.
The analysis ensures compliance with relevant standards and guidelines, such as IEEE 519, which sets limits on harmonic distortion to maintain power quality. Compliance not only enhances the reliability of operations but also ensures the pharmaceutical plant adheres to regulatory requirements. We have recommended necessary changes in the existing infrastructure to mitigate harmonic effects in real scenarios.
