Scope in detail

Testing

Earth resistance testing is carried out across the site's earthing system using fall-of-potential or clamp-on methods as appropriate to the installation, verifying actual measured resistance against the design value and the limit the applicable standard requires.

Step/touch

Where fault current levels warrant it, step and touch potential verification confirms the installed earthing system actually delivers the safety margins the original design intended, since grid degradation or undocumented changes can erode performance over the system's operating life.

Gaps

Deficiencies — corroded connections, disconnected grid conductors, resistance above acceptable limits — are identified and documented with their location, so remediation can be targeted at the specific points that actually need attention rather than the whole grid being assumed at fault.

Report

Findings are compiled into an earthing audit report with test results, identified deficiencies and recommended remediation, giving the client a clear, standards-referenced basis for any corrective earthing work that's needed.
