Scope in detail
FAT
Factory acceptance testing is witnessed at the manufacturer's facility, verifying equipment performance against the purchase specification before it ships, catching defects or non-conformances while they're still straightforward and inexpensive for the manufacturer to correct.
Stage inspection
Hold-point inspections are conducted at agreed stages of manufacture or construction, confirming work meets specification before it's covered up or the next stage proceeds, following an inspection and test plan agreed with the client in advance.
Compliance
Inspected work and equipment is checked against the governing specification and applicable standards, with any non-conformance documented specifically enough that the manufacturer or contractor can action it without ambiguity about what's required.
Report
Inspection records are compiled into a structured report for each hold point or FAT witnessed, giving the client an independent, contemporaneous record of what was inspected, what was found and how any non-conformances were resolved.
